You probably already know that I'm a wig collector haha - So other than make up looks for V-day, I'm suggesting to why not try a new hairstyle? add bangs or temporary pony tails. It's totally fun without ruining your real hair.

399php($7)...synthetic, but a wash and wear kinda bangs. Available at leading department stores. Hmmm You have to get one that matches your hair color. If it's too shiny, just add some shine serum to your real hair to match. My real hair looks fake though...It doesn't shine since I colored it blue black so I need to add some serum. I'm glad this one is synthetic...human hair freaks me out.

You just part your hair in the middle and clip them on depending on how low or high you want them. Don't worry it wont fall off as long as you don't keep touching it.

Tried it out for a day. Feels weird but It's cool.

This lotion is just love. It smells nice. It isn't sticky. It also gives a mild feeling of hydration and best of all It helps keep my skin fair.

Microscopic pic of my dry skin...Whoah...so flaky...I have a new miscro usb cam and I'm thinking of using it on a post on wrinkle products too. Whew...too close right?

This isn't a blurred out picture. It's near the same spot where I took my "before" pic. After using the lotion for a couple of minutes, here is the immediate effect.

I know this doesn't look as much but Isn't that cool? No more flaky skin haha and It does look a tad bit lighter - but that's because the lotion color was white...Using it long term helps me keep my skin fair. It's a nice product and a very reasonable price.

Make your nails guitar proof or guitar strumming proof

I think I mentioned this already this tip already, but most of friend musicians I know either have chipped nail polish on them on none at all. So just to help, To keep polish on I suggest you use glittery polishes and more importantly top your polish off with a glittery top coat. The more the better. I know it sounds silly since strumming might pull of the chunks but haven't you guys noticed that taking off glittery polishes are harder than regular matte and satin ones?

A giveaway gift from Hollie, Isn't it gorg? This one is Wet n Wild Wild Shine in Sparkled/Etincelante. I used a Caronia Polish in Cashmere as base. They work perfect together.

So now I can strum my nails as hard as I want without worrying as much. Strumming on a Classical Guitar with Nylon strings are less stressful on polishes compared to acoustic guitars with Steel strings though.

If you don't have a shimmery glittery polish you can settle with any nail polish then top them off with chunky glitters.

Or polishes with fine glitters will work just as fine :-)

New Hair Color : Kolours in Blue Black

Kolours in Blue Black

Blue black has always been my favorite black color. Just to start the year fresh I changed my hair up from a reddish-brown shade to this. See my old color here (Hortaleza Hair Color in No. 6 Copper) I wanted to try out a more intense shade of red but I considered root maintenance to be troublesome. Anyway, love that a box of Kolours intended for mid-length hair works on my long hair. No kidding.

I love this. It goes so well on Asian hair. Instructions on the manual are super CLEAR. The downside of going black though is you can't really get lighter colors to go on your hair later on...so It'll take a while before I can really try out an intense red.

Added some bangs myself. Bangs help give more focus to my eyes - now I can wear more daring lenses. Also, going back to the color - blue seems to make me appear lighter than I really am. It tones down the yellowness of my skin.

Room Lighting. Back to Black. My New Look for the year. Hope you like it as much as I do. Indoors it looks very black, almost matte - outdoors i looks shiny and has this pretty blue shade to it. My hair is a bit dry lol - I also didn't comb it - got lazy haha

Romantic 6 month Diary

Because of the pretty bows...I will forgive all these sentences too.

Things they have in common, they are all cute, affordable and don't have fixed dates. I love that I can still use these next year or so. Sunny was 199php ($4), Cat-mouse was 99php ($2), Romantic Diary 160php ($3). Lucky enough they are still available for purchase. I hope you find your favorite planner too ladies.

Saizen Find : Lip Palette

Saizen Mini Lip Palette

A steal at 50php ($1). I just think it is convenient to be able to carry multiple lippie colors without the burden of bulk and space. I got this again at Saizen Cubao. Maybe more Japanese stores have this type of palette. It is decent and fits my make up pouch like a dream.

The mirror is nice, on the other hand the brush is not THAT bad too. I just somehow think it fails in a way because it falls out of the case quite too often. It was designed to be placed above the mirror - which is weird.

I use coffee spoons at spatulas to transfer my lippies and even just products that require too much finger dipping. Very affordable when you purchase at any grocery or supermarket.

Pressed down some colors I liked. Tip is, you can melt them in with a hair dyer to make then flat like the real deal however, I chose not to do so just because the thought of exposing lippies to heat makes me wonder what chemicals might change in the formulation - yes. I'm paranoid.

Nice. Again, a decent and useful purchase! - nothing fancy really. Next Saizen target is a hair bump it I saw. I was contemplating if I should get it...I regret not doing so hahaha.

My Nail Decals Experience

Something new for me to try this year. I have a post on the instructions to use them here

To be honest. I ended up throwing away the plaid ones that I REALLY liked. So happened that I sucked applying them- being that it was my first time to try so. huhu. They just wouldn't STICK on my nails huhuhu. Anyway, here's how my second try turned out.

Nice ei? better than not having them stick at all :P

They give you 12 stickers...maybe the 2 extras are for people with 2 extra fingers :P kidding, good that they anticipated that those who use this may make mistakes and waste a few before being able to attached them.

Comes with a free little but useful nail file, This one if for keeps :P

And to share. What I did was

Cut them in strips.
Wet them in water
Pulled them off and laid them on my finger

Cut off the excess

Waited ( forever ) for them to dry and stick (which they eventually did)

applied a top coat.

buffed the extra off with the file.

My reaction. It's too much work for me huhu. I have minor chipping in a day- chipped off completely on the third day. I read here and there that to remove decals all you have to do is wash them out it warm water- this present a problem since I always take warm baths. This won't last a week so I guess it had a reasonable price for what it is. Maybe I'll change my mind after a couple of tries more, but for now. I still prefer hand drawn nail art or stickers.

Cool but the top coat melted it somehow too. freaky.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Haven't been able to update, So happened my, brother who has been abroad came home for a vacation, so I'm really trying to enjoy more time with him and the family :D I guess, vacations bring out the family-oriented spirits out of us. Moving on, I'm thrilled to share with you what products I think made it to my top favorites of 2011.

TADA! TOP FAVORITES

I was staring at my train case thinking...which the following made it to my list of stuff oozing with awesomeness :P

For Nails, Cherimoya Nail Laquers, A Peach-Glittery one and an Almost Fushia Color.
I hauled Nail Polishes when I visited Davao City a couple of months ago.

Gorgeous...and really flattering as a top coat to any polish color. No idea about this brand though..nor if I bought fake ones since I can't find a name for both shades.

Oh! TBS's Highlighter...Fantastic highlighter! It doesn't look glittery. It gives an almost subtle wet and healthy look. James Cooper Mineral Blusher on the other hand is the BOMB! I absolutely love it! The color payoff is fantastic...atleast for this shade I got. expect reviews for both.

Elizabeth Arden's Pretty Hot Perfume. Smells sensually divine. I actually received so many compliments and questions. Most ask me what I have on. Maybe it just works with my body chemistry.

Marionaud Brush and Fashion 21 White Eyeliner. The brush is so versatile to make my eyebrows better (thicker)- The slanted brush side doubles as a gel-liner applicator. On the other hand, The white eye-liner just glides on smoothly and stays for hours. I dunno how something this cheap can work so efficiently.

Nivea Lip Care in Soft Rose. The scent and texture is something I personally like. I use it for prepping my lips or before going to bed.

I keep mentioning this gloss. It's just a personal favorite.

This Mary Kay Medium Coverage Foundation, has been working for me since I haven't been in a heavy coverage mood. I'm near to finishing this one up.

I couldn't really think of a lipstick I really loved this year. As for palettes? I already have the 180 one so I haven't really been trying any other...meaning NO hand carry eyeshadows :(

I selected these amongst a sea of choices at some random stall in Greenhills. Prices are 50php($1) to 150php($3). I would have bought at divisoria but I couldn't find the quality I wanted. I think they are affordable enough given that they don't look cheap at all- atleast in person.

And just sharing. I was told by a chinese spititual person (sorry don't know what they call people like them) that putting a ring on my thumb is bad luck. It means I'll let money slip away - financial misfortune...lol I just found it funny since I usually have a ring there...since I was in highschool. :P. I guess wearing rings is a cultural thing too...if you google it you'll know what I mean. *smile*

I was trying to cover a song I really liked but my web cam would not cooperate so, I just took photos of my Christmas Day Look- sorry the quality is sucky but I just had browns and a thin layer of eye liner on. Also, I was using a mineral blush from James Cooper Jazzy Line...my oh my...It's LOVE.

I can't believe I'm still here blogging. And more so, I'm blogging and people actually visit my random doodles about things...beauty etc. I just feel so blessed. Thank you all. I wish you so much love and happiness...just all the best.

Divisoria finds for nail-o-holics. Nail things are nice gifts too this coming Christmas especially if you have girl friends who would love to try nail art but don't think they can do it...give them some stickers or decals to get them started :P and eventually addicted haha

Nail Stickers. Just stick them on :P these though work like decals. 100php ($2) for 4 stickers

Decals. Looks like stickers but you actually have to wet them with water before sticking them to your nails. 100php($2) for 3

a little off topic for a while.

This was a curious purchase. Remember how I had eyelash perming and eyelash extentions - like both, this is something I have no experience about...individual grouped lashes-100% human hair...very freaky. 250php ($5) doesn't include the glue though...I was told that ardell glue would work fine but they have this 600php glue that would last for like months...didn't get that though...

Huge Comb. 180php...what a steal! quality is at par with those sold at malls for 600php and up. Perfect gift for those with thick horse hair like me :P

Some toothless clips to hold curls after being heated....Now all I need is a decent VS ceramic curler bwuahaha. - I know, I should have got myself a decent curler first...I do have one but it's crappy...made a post here.

and going back to nail talk.

Nail Art brushes set. 150php ($3)

And nail polish...says it's name is BK ROSE ESSENTIAL: Nail Laquer. I got this mint one for free. Anyway they sell this for 60php to 80php...if you buy 2 you get one free. Needs two coats for a nice color payoff. It actually stays long on the nails...It hasn't chipped despite of my constant play of guitar...I have to wait and see if it will make my nails yellow of something though. Lots of fake OPI Nail Polishes at Divisoria...such a shame, too bad I don't own an original one so I can't tell the fake and real one apart. Does original OPI cost 80php? I don't think so...

These are just basically great gift ideas, very affordable items and fun things to have. I have to warn you though...Divisoria at Christmas time is a very crowded and stressful place to be...there are a lot of good finds but getting there to the 168 mall or Tutuban mall ...is a major struggle. I felt like everyone was stop dancing and we were all moving inch by inch. But it's worth going there if you plan to buy a lot, else malls are better options *smile*.

House of Obagi's Blue Peel Treatment Testimonial

I died for a couple of days :P glad to be back, anyway I would love to share a story for those out there feeling hopeless about Hyper pigmentation, Sun spots, Melasma...whatever you want to call those nasty age spots - there is hope...and it goes by the name - HOUSE OF OBAGI's BLUE PEEL PROCEDURE ( did I type it down right?)

I had an unwilling guest on my blog ( whom I shall refer to as " person" but by persistent persuasion I was able to make a post about it. ( THE PERSON IN THE PICTURE IS NOT ME :) )

So the story goes, We've tried everything...yeah...*ahem* Mendez...A year of treatment and constant diamond peels and other things...did...nothing but made things worst.

Until One treatment of House of Obagi's Blue Peel Treatment came along...and man is it worth every penny!

Let these pics speak for themselves...all these just in a couple of weeks results are amazing. Please excuse the quality of these pics, apparently most where taken using a mobile phone, the last one I personally took.

Sunspots...could be genetic, but can possibly be caused by lack of skincare and sun protection during early years. Sun block could have made this a little less worst but age is something that HAPPENS.

After the procedure and during the peeling process. Peeling was irritating and itchy but pulling forcibly was a big NO-NO.

After month I guess. This is with foundation : Fanny Serrano Two Way Cake to be precise. Amazing! I swear prior to the procedure, covering was useless.

Results, Marks have been significantly reduced although are STILL PRESENT. The change seen is remarkable since the person was unable to go out without pile loads of foundie and concealer prior to the procedure, after...was a totally different story. The person could now go out with just sunblock and nothing else. COOL!

So if you have a special loved one who's confidence is affected by marks on her face or where-ever, although you can assure her/him that she/he is still loved, better suggest this procedure. It worked for us so I guess It might work for you. Take note that everyone is different though.

I heard that packages differ from time to time, severity of case is also a factor so a consultation might be necessary. The people there are really nice and accommodating. Price? a bit steep but you only have one face so save up and go for it - and pray that it works. This is no way sponsored. I just wanted to make a post to help others who think that their case might be hopeless :) *Tear*

A simple thought that helps me get by and be positive, fun and fearless....people wonder how I keep my cool under really high pressure circumstances...well, my secret, I stopped worrying about things I have no control over...and I focus on what can be done while trying to be the best version of me...

Ok. so I snap sometimes...but of course I'm human too :P I get pissed off and stuff but I do recover easily. It's hard to be emotional and to be an artistic being :P- everything seems personal.

If you believe in the power of attraction...you really get what you think hard for...like if you think something good is going to happen...no matter how crazy or bad everything is- all you see is something good :P - so perception is KEY

So moving on, Thank you to Nivea Philippines for the lovely package :). Thank you delivery guy who walked and got lost to find my place huhuhu...

I was so excited to show to my little sis that I dropped the bag and broke the deos which I swear by are my HG Deo's ever! If you want fairer underarms...try it. It really really works. It takes time but It does.

And of course the Lippies...Load of Lippies...which I promise to swatch and review on separate posts.

Lip Care-more on for Color and Shine. Lovely colors and flavors. Best is, these are around 80php...affordable! Love that they are yummy too. But ofcouse, they aren't made to be eaten haha :P. Here we have- Cherry, Soft Rose, Angel Star, Pomegranate

New Slanted Shape... Too bad I when I use lippies they always end up being shaped flat.

This one is more for extra lip care and for repair, protection and intensive moisture. Summer is almost coming and this will be uber handy with it being spf 30.

Look at my almost retired lippie...you can tell that it has been with me for quite sometime along with other nivea lip care products. I use it when I'm feeling lazy for creamy lipsticks, not as a lipstick base though - lip creams tend to slide off if its used as a base - I use balms for that. This one is in cherry and still has a flat top unlike the new slanted ones.

Wee! almost gone! I love that these Nivea Lippies aren't for most sticky. They are not exaggeratedly tinted, they actually blend in nicely with my lips and they do give that extra "shine". They do take time to be absorbed. Some might be repelled by the scents and consistency but really these are really decent and nice lippies-very reasonable considering the price and availability at drugstores and supermarkets.

Oh and on being fair...I guess Nivea has always been a part of that. I'd love to share with you some micro photos I'll be taking in the coming days on how Nivea has helped me to be fair. but for now, I hope you enjoyed this post.

Clara C APAC Tour 2011 Experience - Live in Manila

I really can't contain my admiration for Clara Chung aka Clara C. that I had to made to make a post about it. This post won't be about make up but If you like music and beauty in general...please give this post a couple of minutes :P pretty please ^^

When I check you tube out, I usually visit my favorite beauty gurus, a couple of bands I like and Clara C's Channel. First ever vid of her that captivated me was her cover of "It's the most wonderful time of the year" and "Rocketeer". Her Channel keeps me happy. She's really the whole package. Aside from her amazing voice, she plays A LOT of music instruments...some people are just soooo talented.

Makes me feel that it's Christmas ALL YEAR LONG :P

She has an AMAZING VOICE! and if you trust the things I've been posting, believe me when I say that she's EVEN MORE SUPER...when performing live.

So...when I heard about the tour I reserved seats...me with my family! haha. Which was kind of weird considering most that showed up where like teens to young adults. The quality of people where great...unlike the quantity...maybe the weather or lack of promotions had to do with the turn out of people but I really hope Clara felt the L-O-V-E.

woooh, super fan. I'm not shy about it.

With Ate Mariz, The love of my brother's life, Who has lost a lot of weight by avoiding rice, I on the other hand have gained and I stopped caring haha.

I was so excited I couldn't leave my seat to get my DSLR huhu. I was pissed off a bit too, there was water dripping on Clara's Keyboards and plugs...HELLO? Music Museum Management? Shame on you! I was worried about her safety...and more so that Clara might get the wrong impression about the Philippines :-(. Fans cared to call out the management's attention before the concert started, and they fixed it in the middle of the show? WTF!!! Still pisses me off...

Ok...another super fan moment. Proud to say I was 2nd in line after the amazing show. Charles Tan and Clara were AWESOME! While Filipinos love music and singing along, most where silent including me. I was smilling the whole time I think my face got ripped haha :P, but seriously, her voice was that "amazing" that I didn't want to sing along just to hear her better.

Very Pretty. She looks anime-ish...Charles is cute too :P like a big bear!

My moment to say hello and silly me bursted into tears- tears of JOY, I'm such a nerd. I couldn't control my emotions. Most of Clara's songs have some sentimental value...most I can find something to relate too in my life and struggles :P. Her songs are my comfort songs when I'm up down or whatever.

Best is, although I didn't get a picture with her...I got 2 big hugs...and a message.

Having this framed and will keep it FOR LIFE!

A new song she has that is coming out is Eventually...and the song fits to exactly how I've been feeling for sometime.

Magic Bang Fringe Hair Velcro Pads

Kinda hard to figure out what to really call them. Some sell them online saying it's a "magic hair sticker", some call it "fringe pad" and so on, whatever the name...It's velcro that I think serves a decent purpose. It keeps bangs away from the face-perfect when cleaning up, putting make up on, or even sleeping.

The only ones available where in black. I don't really mind.

Wee! I don't even have bangs but I have crazy mini baby bangs that poke my forehead and eyes like they hate me hahaha.

There you go! Mwuahahahahaha, no more freaking bangs.

Best of all...compared to other cute designed ones that are almost 100 to 250php...this one costs 20php per pair ( half a dollar ). Amazing. Found mine at Vente Store- Trinoma. Lucky that Vente stores are available at malls. Another steal I think. - but I still want the cute ones anyway huhuhu

My First Traincase...A Definite Steal!

Say Hello to my New Traincase...and my first ever! yipeee!

I went on a traincase hunt in Divisoria, in the Philippines, Divisoria has everything affordable, cheap, new, and in wholesale- a must place to find steals. Anyway, I'm so thrilled.

It's huge and yet perfect for personal cosmetics. It's kinda heavy but strong.

Has a decent lock with a key- not that I think anyone here at home has plans of stealing my makeup haha

folding compartments...so cool. I have my foundies and brushes and pens already snugged in.

cup. just so you can imagine how big it is. It's perfect.

My first Traincase I bought for myself. Glad to tell you I got it for 1,300php (around $29). I went on canvassing found a similar one at 2,800php...good thing my impulsive mode shut down and I walked around. The store is kinda hidden but lucky me still found it...it must be destiny. Now my makeup- which I put on the only face I have, has a nice new home...goodbye shoe and watch boxes hahaha :)

Eyelash Extentions at the i-Lash Extentions Salon Experience

Tried them out along with Mom at the SM Sta. Mesa Branch. I can say that unlike my Eyelash Perm experience, this went far well. Application took around 2 hours, I just slept through the procedure. There was no tugging and pulling. I loved the ambiance there and the people where friendly too.

This on, is their mascara effect. Comments on the after results, Well... Here it goes, I think the lashes applied where too thick for my liking. I wish they could have looked more natural and they didn't feel as heavy as they did. Maintenance also has been a problem. I should avoid wetting my eye area which is near to impossible. Bahhh... I should just learn to leave my eyelashes alone.

So, to sum, the results look great but maintenance is CRAZY. I'm happy I tried this out- atleast I can say that I did. Mom tried the natural looking effect and hers fell off just a week after...along with her real lashes. Me, I did something a little weird. I didn't really dig that all lashes where all at the same length from side to side so I trimmed down the inner parts haha. Looked way better! Also, mine has survived for 2 weeks now with many fall outs too.

Absolutely No Mascara nor Eye Liner on my upper lid.

Hope this post helps anyone who is considering having this done.

I think I'll go back to recommending falsies with glue or simply using mascara.

Let me share a quick post on my new hair color. I've always wanted to try a red shade. I would have tried Ruby but I don't think I'm ready for that kinda red yet.

I got bored I guess, plus with all the rots popping out...The sight wasn't so nice so I wanted to try Copper.

OLD COLOR

I think the picture says it all.

Copper is a nice Reddish brown shade. I like the fact that it doesn't make my skin look darker and that It doesn't look orange or weird either. I wonder what it looks like when it fades out.

NEW COLOR

haha. my next color is definitely blue black :) . But for now, I'll be enjoying this red shade...It feels so Christmas-ish.

Newbie to Make Up Haul

I couldn't think of a better title haha. But here's what happened. A close friend of mine wanted a makeover and wanted to learn how to use makeup. * Ahem * being the self-proclaimed beauty blogger that I am, I said I'd help her pick a few things out. Well, a few turned into ... a LOT. so anyway, What do I think a newbie to makeup should have?

A good foundie, a concealer if needed. matte blush. eyelash curler. mascara. eyeliner. a good lippie. Others can just follow, like eyeshadows etc. oh! a primer would have been nice too.

A few stand outs...

Based on my friend's needs. I picked out a powder foundation, Fanny Serrano's Foundie is so nice. The range of colors for filipina skin tones are fab! Coverage is medium to heavy! nice! I would have picked a liquid foundie too but I have one at home that I don't use that I think would work well for her.

An Ever Bilena Palette. Doesn't look like much but the colors I think are nice. It has a mixture of mattes and satin pressed powders. I wanted to get her an elf beauty book but she wanted colorful powders so I ended up with this one. I'm gonna get her some dollface cosmetics stuff but for now this will do. I like that the black and brown colors on this palette are both matte- which can double as eyebrow powder then.

Drugstore brushes.

A lipstick that looks pretty on her. This one is from cover girl.

We also got a maybelline concealer, clear smooth blush, maybelline gel liner, a matte lippie red lippie, lipgloss and masara from etude. And some DIY hair dye and face hair bleach- which we will use on her brows. She had her hair colored brown and payed 3k something...only to have almost a black brown shade...I bet this 300+ peso dye could do way better.

I hope I can post an FOTD of her using these when she finally gets them and when I teach her how to use these. Finally, Another life changed with make up haha! kidding!

If you are wondering I guess everything went over 3k+ but these are drugstore brands that I've mostly tested and really work for me, I hope they work for my friend too. I'm not an expert. I just love make overs :P

Halloween Series : Godswar Warrior Character ( Anime & RPG Inspired )

Too much Godswar Online gaming inspired me to do a Godswar Warrior Cosplay.

Here's my character in game with my Ghost pet, very Halloween-ish...Hahaha I'm such a nerd. I love this game regardless of how I can't seem to make may character strong :P. I like warriors over mages, priests and champions...just because I like the idea of a melee fighter with some serious damage absorbing tanking skills. I'm probably speaking alien now to most of you.

Had to include my version of a Loyal dog pet. Basically, I just used a lot of pinks and violets. I think pink goes well with white hair.

I used tons of white eyeliner under my real lower waterline, a couple of falsies here and there and I drew on more falsies with a gel eyeliner. Eyebrows were just concealed and smudged with a white eye shadow stick and buffed with white eye shadow powder. What lenses do I have on? click here.

I made a huge switch to purely Nivea products to test them out..three things that concern me recently have been...fine lines, uneven skin tone, and forehead acne. I had to wait a week before totally switching just to give my skin time to adjust to the new products.., hence the long time it took me to get something posted...most of the items were sent by Nivea...which I shall take the challenge to test ofcourse.

Just something I's like to share, Talk about royalty, The box was cool. I'm practically trying out products used by the Kate Middleton herself...Royal treatment at a reasonable price! whoah! If these products can solve my three problems...then what a steal it would be!

Not part of the Q10 line but I'm using it to wash my face. It's one of the two products that I really enjoy using. My skin feels moisturized, clean..and looks brighter. Scars on my forehead have disappeared faster than the usual.

I'm still trying this out and it seems promising. Unlucky me, has fine lines under my eyes and terrible dark bags...blame it on me sleeping almost every day at 4am. I used to wake up to deep, dark and visible lines, Right now I can honestly say that there has been improvement. I'll show it once I use all products quite longer. After all we really can't expect products to work ASAP now can we?

Shade in Beige 2

The promise of matte skin in this tube!

Oil free and says it won't clog your pores. Works on sensitive skin and has Anti-oxidants that protect the skin.

I think Beige 2 is a bit darker than the skin tone on my face. It has a yellow tone to it. Regardless let me show you.

A little glossy.

Give it a minute or two it dries off to this matte texture...almost poreless looking. Nice. I bet you noticed how some of my lines were visibly reduced.

Here's me doing a wink fail with the foundation on. Sorry wish I had a more decent pic. Let's just go back to the foundie haha. It looks nice actually - very matte...too matte to be true haha kidding!, I was told that this foundie works fantastically when mixed with another type (lumiii...something)...kinda forgot but I'll try to get my hands on that one too.

Now for questions, about coverage, I would say, it gives medium coverage. By so - I mean it gives a nice base but doesn't completely cover up redness, veins, spots etc. (Coverage is buildable) Staying power? I would say so-so. I find myself oiling up in a couple of hours. I've made a review on the other medium coverage foundie...check here if your are interested

On Consistency, feels light. It almost has a mouse feel when applied which I absolutely like. It doesn't feel like wearing a mask. And about the price...steep (700php something) - btw, this has No SPF.

Did I forget anything? I hope not.

I had a beige thing going on with my lips so might as well with my nails too.

Finally a review.

Just Some Birthday Stuff

Hello Domo Kun!

Hello there, I promised myself that I'd put blogging on my priority list but seems I can't think of anything to write about lately, hmmm, reviews? make up looks? tutorials? I won't go into clothes though, I gained weight again and I don't wanna worry about it. Haha. I haven't bought any new clothes in AGES. I guess gaining weight has that effect. Anyway, Let me just share with you a couple of cool things I received on my birthday.

I received a stuffed toy...you know, 20 something kinda girls still want stuffed toys . haha. Kidding. I should grow up but I can't really. It's so cute! Domo Kun looks so mean don;t you just love it?

Birthday Nails. Kinda chipped though. I tipped a lavender color over a flesh toned color. They jived. I'm also trying oval cut shaped nails. They seem to look nice and make my fingers look slimmer. Very nasty though when texting and playing the guitar.

I love the refreshing scent. It's a breathe of fresh air compared to the Vanilla scents that I usually go for, which I still do. I really just wish that the scent stayed on longer. Seems that it doesn't.

I ended up with even drier and irritated skin...at least I learned a lesson- that didn't stop me from trying other products though *lol*

Moisturize! Moisturize! Moisturize! Even if you have the oiliest skin...don't forget to moisturize, mostly skin produces crazy amounts of oil because it lacks moisture and is compensating.

Cucumber extract makes me curious....hahaha. I have never tried anything cucumber related - I think. Even the whole thing with cucumber slices on the eyes.

Here's a shot in normal room light, my camera was set to automatic so it kinda switched to a low light mode making me look pale but nevertheless, the product itself gives off a nice glow.

Moving onto my personal opinion, I kinda suck in using the brush, This one reminds me of EB's bronzer- the pink one. I really can't get the product to dispense to my liking. The first sweep on usually leaves me with just chunks of glitters which is kind of troublesome and had me worried. The chunk of glitters though, seem to just go away and I'm left with a natural glowing hint of near peach gold color. I still use blush. I love the illuminating effect...after all I am an illuminator/Highlighter addict. I just love how healthy I look when I put it on key areas like, upper cheeks, nose area, a little on the forehead and so on.

With a little sunlight, here's an FOTD with me trying out warming glow and drawing on some lashes with a liquid liner. It was oh so fun.

Glittery Nails, Shoe Haul and Just Random Stuff

Hello there dear online friends! Would like to share with you a couple

of things. I've been busy with work and a lot of emo stuff haha but I'm glad I found time to get back to blogging. To start of, I've been drawn to glittery things lately. Have you tried the Etude LucidDarling Polish? I have no idea what shade this is but it has huge peach pink glittery specks. So pretty.

played with the testers, tried the green/blue one on my dark emo colored nails.

the violet one looks gorgeous.

for makeup I tried out this palette given by dollface cosmetics as a consolation prize I bet you all see this around sold by sellers of similar coastal scent looking palettes and etc.

shimmers wash away the color though. For a contact lens user this might spell trouble. there are chunks of glitters in it.

And for shoes...I did get a bit carried away but here are my favorites

Oronero...bought at CMG, I just love this simple black design that I had to have it in two colors. The strap looks so sexy. haha. Very comfy regardless of how high it is.

Got the beige one too.

Pretty florals. Got them at "The Ramp". Hmmm affordable, lightweight and very comfy.

And me wearing a mixed charm bracelet, bf blouse and some white shorts.
Got the blue top at Greehills, I don't really like it there but I like there are really good finds if you look around. I saw this black butterfly ring that I can't forget maybe I should go back soon hahaha.

New Adult Pink Contact Lens Review

I always wanted true pink lenses and I guess I got want I wished for...NOT! hahaha I was extremely excited to try these out since my MAX PINK PURE lenses looked uber cool and natural with my newly colored hair. However, seem like these lenses aren't your daily lens to go out and mingle with.

My first thought was " OMG! I look like a possessed mulawin! " ("mulawin" = human bird) haha.

I ever ran downstairs just to show my little sis. I asked her " Do you notice anything?", she said " Oh my gosh TEI!, what happened?" - laughing at me.

Great for cosplay, costumes etc. but not good to use daily! they are so extreme! Very light almost whitish-gray pink". I think they'd work better with heavy makeup though. Bah! I can't make these work for me at the moment! They make me look mean and emotionless at times. Anyway, I got these here.

Let me make a quick post on my new hair color. I've been dying to try something new since I've had black for quite a time and I jut really wanted to change things up.

Old hair color...

New: Hortaleza in Light Havana

Seems near to blonde as described, but as you can see, I have REALLY dark hair so It didnt go anywhere near to a yellow blonde color. Yay!

In low light. It actually was applied nicely. My hair looks evenly coated in yellow lighting.

It gave me a brownish color. I originally wanted an ash brown color but that would have required bleaching prior to color application. I dyed my eyebrows to match using Sally Hansen Body Bleach, not recommended but I have been doing it anyway.

In white lighting I feel like a carrot. Seriously. The color on my roots or the top most of my head looks so dominant. hahaha. My parlorista since I was a kid told me my hair would turn out the same color as choc nut hehe. He applied it starting from the lower part and finished last on my roots since roots absorb more color. Still, my roots look lighter than everything else.

It's really hard o demonstrate with pictures alone since every picture will give you different results. But, It's actually a perfect color match with Choc-nut I tell you. So if you have black hair and want a Choc-nut color...go for 8.5 Light Havana. Curious about my hair history? click here

Updates, Skincare, Weight Loss

Gone again for the week, How are you all doing? I haven't been able to open up my new lenses yet, but let me let you in on my personal skincare regimen, nothing special really. To start off, I have combination skin, not really oily but not dry at most. I noticed my skin is dry for most but I get extremely oily when I sleep up late or am under MAJOR MAJOR stress.

If with make up, I start of by removing it by massaging a generous amount of St. Ives, Make-Up & Facial Cleanser. I made a review about it here before. Right now I appreciate how it effectively removes even my stubborn Maybelline gel liner. All I need to do is massage, wipe off with a cloth or tissue and rinse. It's sweet!

Then I go onto scrubbing. Lightly I just scrub on areas that are prone to give me white and blackhead problems, such as the nose area, forehead and chin. I can skip this at times.

And I clean of with a more gentle and moisturizing wash. Yep, I like being squeaky clean hehehe

After so, for Day time, I use Olay Total Effects (normal) and GoodSkin LabsTri-Aktiline on few fine lines under my eyes. For Night, I use Ponds Gold Radiance Serum for its vit. B3 and the follow up using Olay Regenerist Night firming cream. I think my skin loves Olay, just because it reacts well to it and gives me better skin when I wake up. I can even go out with minimal to no make up.

Sharing an unedited pic wearing light make up, I used Maybelline BB cream, Maybelline Gel Liner and Maybelline Lip Lip Smooth. Yay! I know I'm too young to slather so much things on my face but I'm very stressed and I do have an unhealthy lifestyle, This is one way to make up for it. XD

For my body, I've been stuck on using Nivea Express Hydration Body Lotion. I feel hydrated without feeling sticky. It's very nice.

On, Losing weight, Me and a good friend had a bet on losing weight. We measured our BMI's and determined target weights appropriate for our Height and body built. I'm near to my target weight and glad to report that I've lost 13lbs. I've been able to lose weight by exercising, drinking lots of water, eating carefully and I won't deny I have been sick and very stressed but I'm back on track! The best thing I believe is I still get to eat what I want. I probably should share what I've been up to in detail next time. It feels nice to fit in my old clothes haha.

Busy as usual, Here's me just sharing a couple of things that I acquired recently.

First Up, I bought a couple of lenses at Japanesecandy last february which arrived this June. I know, the waiting time is insane, but they had this amazing promo which I couldn't refuse. Anyway, Now that they are here, I can't wait to try them out.

Nails are real simple lately, just a normal french tip with Orange Caronia Glitters to top.

And for a FOTD, nothing much, I just tried out using the only Loreal Lippie I have, in Decadent. It's suppose to be a rich maroon color but you know how lippies change in different lighting. Used Maybelline Clear Smooth Mineral Foundation, Pure Glow Mineral Eye Shadow in a gold color. Maybelline Gel Liner. Oh and remember my Eyelash perm? Now I can 100% say, I wont be doing it again. Applying eyeliners has been a nightmare and worst my lashes somehow are falling out. Not that it bothers me a lot but it's quite troublesome really.

Oh and have you heard? I bet you have.

We all know what this is! But of course stay tuned. I've been trying it out for a week now and I have to say, I'm liking it.

Nope! this has nothing to do with digital perming hahaha. Hi ladies! I've been busy with so much work but of course I read your posts. I haven't been able to review a couple of new products so here I am sharing with you a tutorial on coloring your hair via Photoshop. Anyway, why did I think of it? well I've been wanting to dye my hair for the longest but I can't decide between red or brown...Red has always been a dream color of mine, however...imagining it with contact lens and braces makes me wonder if I can pull it off without looking weird. Forgive my sloppy samples, did it in minutes just to show you. (click on the photos to enlarge)

So this is me with my natural hair. Nothing edited so far.

And this is trying out different Colors.

Oh well, You can do it on TAAZ I have a post on that too. (would be much easier and fun) Hmmmm...So what do you think? Black is really boring me at the moment.

HOW TO EDIT YOU HAIR COLOR USING PHOTOSHOP

Step1: I'm using Photoshop CS3. Go to File >> Open >> Choose your picture

Step 2: On the left side is your Toolbox, choose the brush looking icon and the set the upper toolbox to "COLOR"

Step 3: Oh, there is the brush Icon, hehehe, After setting the brush to "COLOR", adjust your "Opacity". Opacity should be around 10% and not higher than 25%. This will determine how pigmented the color will be brushed on your hair.

On the Toolbox, choose a color you want to paint on your hair.

Now just click and brush the color on to your heart's desire!

You can do this too to apply makeup, change eye color and etc. There are really so MANY ways to do it. This is just one that I can think of at the moment. This should be easy! :)

And just to share, I have nothing against photos that have been photoshopped, after all I am a Graphic Designer and I teach stuff like these for a living. (Plus it's hell FUN!) What I think is wrong though is to Photoshop to deceive with whatever bad intention. More Tutorials to come. I was thinking about Scar and pimple removal, my students loved that topic! :P Any suggestions?

Nail Marble Effect Tutorial

How has everybody been? It's been raining here in the Philippines. I hope you all are doing well. So, going onto my post, I had this Starry Night inspiration, I'm so loving blue lately so I decided to take some time off to try it the very tedious Nail Marbling Technique. It really looks pretty in person. Topped it off with orange glitters. (kinda like little stars in the blue majestic sky).

For Demo, you'll just be needing a couple of polishes of your choice, water in a container(preferably small), some toothpicks. ( I used both frosted polishes - royal blue and a deep gold but for the demo I'll use a red, cream and deep violet nail color)

Start by dropping in some nail polishes. Do it as fastly as you can as it tends to dry up and harden fast. Do it in whatever order you find satisfying.

You can mix it up with a toothpick if you wish. Kinda reminds me of those Baristas who mix and design on coffee...really cool noh?

Dip in your fingers, nails first. Expect this to be messy. You can clean up with acetone. To be honest I tried putting petroleum jelly and oil on the areas around my nails...didn't do a thing for me though.

After so, clean up the excess and do it all over again.

Messy and time consuming. Now cleaning up will be such a burden hahaha.

Better Tutorials are available online! You can even design on water just with a toothpick.

Hope you learned a new thing or two.

My Eyelash Perming Experience at Let's Face It

First off, Happy Father's Day everyone! I hope you guys had the perfect day with your fathers. I surely did! But anyway going on to Eyelash Perming. This was really a thing that I had been curious about it. As you can see above, I have nearly invisible lashes. They are thick and really short. I'd try to put mascara but I hate doing so just because most formulas get into my eye, such a hassle considering I wear contacts...it's pretty hard.

Sorry for the difference in lighting. I took pictures at different times and locations.

This is what my lashes looked right after the perming process. Not wearing any lenses.

This is what it looked like the day after.

As for now, It pretty much looks like the day after picture. Am I happy about it? I am, just because I've finally tried it just for the sake of. I'd probably won't try it again though. If you are curious please read on.

I kind of got scared when I was asked to sign some forms that basically say that I am aware of possible side effects and Let's Face It won't be held accountable for it. The process itself was torture. The first early minutes all I could think of was " I still can back out, get out of my spot and pay and leave! " I won't lie I felt like my eyeballs were being dribbled non stop. I was expecting the procedure to be soft of the eyes. Guess I had wrong expectations. Can anyone enlighten me? Does it really feel THAT uncomfortable? or was the one who handled me just heavy handed? I dozed off to sleep while trying to fight the discomfort. Basically, my lashes were pulled up piece by piece, tapes were attached, a perming solution was placed on my lashes, another solution was placed, then I was done. I was asked to not wet my lashes until next day.

I'm just happy my lashes are up and curled, and that I have no eye damage whatsoever. I had a minor scar on my eyelid though, I don't know if the solution somehow burned my skin - imagine if they burned my eyes? wahhh. I think I still look the same though, and applying eyeliner has been difficult lately.

Perming costs 280php...almost $6? Very affordable.

And here's a pic that I think doesn't show any change at all. I still refuse to apply mascara..or rather avoid it! But I really love the mascara that Sis Sugar sent me!(I use it when I'm in the mood for make up). With mascara, I do quite look like I have falsies on. I'll try to post an FOTD soon. But for now,

Has anyone noticed any straight male beauty blogger? or vanity blogger? or metro man blogger? I haven't hehe. I don't even know a guy who actually buys masks like these. This mask is for men and I really thought of trying t out but then thought I would give it to guy just to get some feedback. It is after all...for MEN

Just your ordinary mask. For de-stressing and clearer complexion.

Instructions for men...take it out and put it on your face for 15-30mins. done!

I asked this dude to try it out. He had amazing skin to begin with. I was suppose ask dad but he had a traumatic experience the last time I asked him to try Aztec Healing Clay Mask so it was a no. hehe. Anyway, feedback was, the Purederm was quite nice, his skin felt refreshed and softer. The scent and feeling with a mask on was tolerable. Finally, would he buy things like these? oh well, he can live with and without it. I guess that's a definite "maybe".

So, do you know any guy who buys face masks? And do you even bother buying face masks for male family members and friends? I wonder what a guy would feel like if I gave them a pile load of face masks as a gift present hehe. Maybe I should do that.

Fighting Forehead Acne is no joke.

The reason I haven't been in the mood to dress up and put make up is because of a terrible breakout I had on my forehead more so, this has caused me to post more reviews than fotds and tutorials. I never really thought that breaking out would be so hard. I was always used to having clear skin, so now I have to be extra careful. I'm glad to report though that as of now, I'm doing well and my forehead has been so nice.

Just to share I believe the biggest factors that caused me to break out was stress and lack of sleep. I've tried everything, from changing pillow cases daily, washing my hair 2 times more, drinking more water, avoiding sweets, eating more fruits and etc. And if you asked what products I've been new to before I broke out, well I remember them quite well. I tried a Clinique Emulsion Hydrante and Pantene Nature Care.

This is a pic taken weeks ago while I was still healing up. I didn't blur on purpose. Sorry for the crappy quality but I guess you get the point. It looks more worst than it looks like.

Now onto the 2 products that really helped me.

This is a Proactive Refining Mask. It initially came with a set. I used it nightly to dry up the pimples. It works like magic. I wake up to less angry dots on my forehead. Proactive has been effective for my sister who has been dealing with the same problem but worst. It works, really, but using the whole set, seems her skin dried up like crazy and became even sensitive, that no other product seemed to work anymore. Just sharing accounting to experience. And if your wondering why I self-medicated, we did try dermatologists prior...but the products we bought from them seemed to do nothing. And it's sad because aside from paying for the products you have to pay the derma for a consultation...oh well, Take note, everyone is different.

Read at will. In short, This is my miracle zit drier.

Next up is Olay Total Effects

Used it to keep myself moisturized when I ran out of Neutrogena. I initially loved this and dumped this brand when my skin seemed to be immune to it but I think I'm falling in love with it again. No matter how oily I've become these last few weeks I never forget to moisturize. Skin does become oily because it lacks moisture and the skin tries to compensate by producing more oil.

This combo has been effective for me. I've tried different combinations of products. I tried to find out what will work and eliminate those that didn't. This is just my story. So, Now my skin is quite back to normal I'm glad to say I can blog more than just reviews. I also have been thinking about starting serious vlogs and video tutorials. Hope I'll have more time for those.

I needed pigments to use for a prom look way back and ended up buying the gold one. I'm happy I did. It led to another purchase for another event. This probably is for lining the eyes but I use it on top of eye make up to make a look more vibrant. Although its miles far from pigments I like that it adds a certain pop plus the price isn't bad either.

I think they have other shades.

The brush is thin and long, resembles a nail polish brush. The body has tiny mirrors.

Color pay off and staying power is nice!

There's really not much to say, It's a nice blush PERIOD. It glides on nicely, lasts for hours and the color is mostly natural looking. All true to it's product description. I had no irritations whatsoever. Whoah! Nyx has 25 shades of this kind of blush? that's cool!

Matte and the shade in real life is more of an old rose shade...nothing near mocha.

Looks really nice though. I can use it to contour since it's matte. Other than that as a blush, it does give a natural blush look.

Mini Haul: Saizen Purse Love Finds

Finds or Haul, I'm really not sure but say hello to my new makeup pouch, purse, kit whatever you'd like to call this cute thing. Awwww, It was truly love at first sight. Polka dots and a deep pink accent?, how could one go wrong? Awww, and for 85php (roughly less than $2). The search is over and my lame-O elf kit now can retire.

Inside is made well and looks super clean and decent. I really like that it already has structure, just so it can give extra protection to whatever I feel like throwing in. Good thing my pencils and lip glosses fit!

I had to buy this other one...it's also a Polka Dot Purse...but with a ribbon! A vinyl bow! a really nice touch I tell you.

It's stitched in nicely so no worries of falling parts because of crappy glue! hehe.

Says Daiso but I got this at Saizen. Maybe Daiso has this too?

Not as well finished as the other one but It's decent enough.

And an extra washcloth headband. Nothing special really.

There were tones of options but I was in a hurry so I ended up with this one.

I guess by now you can tell that I love Polka Dots. hehe

If your wondering what other purses are available there, well, I saw some with leopard prints, a white one with random notes, a pink purse with white polka dots hmmm and a lot more. There was even a smaller one that was almost toki-doki-ish hehehe. You guys should check out a Saizen branch near you. Everything is 85php and there are really a lot of interesting stuff. Try the Alimall, Cubao Branch, Saizen there is HUGE. I bought some other stuff there months ago here.

Remember my post about hand sanitizers here. I had a slight fascination with Bath and Body Works PocketBac Jelly holders. I thought the idea was clever...I guess I wasn't alone then. Beside BBW AntiBac is ProTec... An item available at Watsons Philippines.

BBW has a "made in china" mark...

BBW dispense hole is at the center...Protec is almost at the edge.

BBW has a thicker frame, Protec has a slightly thinner one.

Both have four lock balls, look clear, have blue balls within the product and lather on nicely. Scent wise, They are almost at par however BBWs scent does linger longer and stay true to it's scent for a long time. Price? I forgot, They sell this but I got this for free. Silly me thought it was BBW at first. hehehe

Awww, is this imitation in a bad way? They look too similar. Just saying.

For 88php? just around $2, This lipstick is creepy cool. The packaging is awesome and I still can't believe how affordable their lipsticks are at Oseur. Oseur has been at Isetan since I was in college. I bought my first few lippies their. Remember my haul here?

Now you probably know why it is called mirror shine. It has this cool mirror inside.

The shade is pretty too. It's almost this neon barbie pink. The color pay off is awesome. It's creamy and almost nyx round lippie like creamy. When you wipe it off you'll be left with a stain. It has this cosmetic scent.

Although affordable I have to warn you though to always use a base before putting this baby on. My lips darkened way back in college because of these. No kidding, I was at a point that I had to wear lipstick everyday to cover up. Just sharing my experience. Sad. I just wanted to give these lippies a chance. Anyway, since some of their lippies are 38php I should have seen it coming. But again, everyone is different.

Reviva Light Skin Peel is suppose to keep your skin ultra clean and more radiant. Just a skin peel thing I purchased at Healthy Options. It's really this tiny thing you won't really notice at the cashout counter. I want to try skin peel treatments at big facial centers but right now I don't think I'm willing to shell out as much. I'm afraid of getting disappointed. I'm simply trying this Reviva product out to aid my healing from the most terrible breakout I had ever. I have scars here and there.

for 200php+ or 300php+ something ( I don't recall the actually price) It's relatively ok since it is instructed to be used at least once a week. It actually feels like wet starch, mixed with black peppers and oats. The alcohol smell is quite dominant. Some ingredients include alcohol, crushed almonds, salicylic acid, veggie oil etc.

I ended up peeling it off instead of rubbing it when it dies off. I did this to demonstrate what it looks like when it's dry and honestly it just seems more fun. I rub it off occasionally as instructed. Do I feel better after? The thought of dissolved dead skin staying off my face always feels good. Just after I feel a certain tightness on my skin...don't know if it's because of the alcohol but it does feel nice. Would I buy again? sure!

No allergic reactions too. bahh...break outs suck. I never thought it would be such a major issue but here I am blogging if ways to get rid of it. It's so emotional hehe.

Awww... Imagine how I felt when little sister came up to me from a travel and said " Ate, sira na brush na bigay mo sakin...huhu" ( "sister, the brush you gave me is broken"). I felt really terrible just because I bought it for her last February for Valentines here...and it's just May of the same year. Knowing that my sister treasured it so much and took good care of it, made me even more sad. I know I should just glue it back on and shut up but I can't help but be disappointed, since I've been raving about Ellana stuff to my family and friends...only to be proven wrong...for the Nth Time.

Even the bristles have gone wacko? can glue fix this too? should I give it a hair cut?

Awww...There really is no denying that I love the brand...The MMUs they have are great! and I absolutely adore their powder mineral concealer...but after bad customer service, several other experiences that I haven't blogged about and THIS....I'm really starting to lose faith.

Easy Gradient Effect on Nails Tutorial

Quick Gradient Effect Fix

How is everyone? Blogger has been down and I couldn't sign in so hence, the late posts. Anyway, here's a post on an easy gradient. Not the most perfect but still really pretty and super fast to do.

Usually you'll be needing 3 colors plus a topcoat, however I'll just be using 2, the glitter top is optional. I'm using a Lamis Polish in frosted pink and red and a Caronia polish.

I'm just using a portion of a stained old sponge. I find that instead of throwing out my disposable sponges I'd clean them out and use them for other stuff. I just keep on cutting portions. These are quite useful too if you have uber tiny stencils to pat designs on!

Start with a base. for this, I'm using a frosted pink color to match my glossy red one. The possibilities are endless, but if your using 2 colors, might as as well stick with colors that are in the same shade. say, light blue to dark blue, cream to brown, lilac to purple etc. Preferable a glossy base would look nice since I'm only using one color to fade down.

I separate a small amount of polish to dip my sponge in. I do this so I don't have to leave the bottle open and contaminate the product by dipping the sponge in and out.

Say, this is my nail, I would concentrate on the top and gently sponge my way down. Normally I would use two colors but this is my lazy gradient style. haha.

Finish off with a topcoat of choice. I'm just using the a slightly orange tinted top with glitters. It's really up to you.

I'll try to post a different way to achieve a better gradient effect soon. Hope this post helps for the mean time.

I guess you'll all agree with me that the heat and the sun here in the Philippines has been really bad...37C degrees...my! no wonder I'm all moody. I hate burning and sweating and feeling thirsty all the time. Anyway, I received these products that are so timely - just right for the summer heat. I'm thankful and would like to put out as much info and a honest review of course. For reference though I will mention that some sunblocks I also use are Neutrogena, Sunplay, Vaseline and Tropical.

Nivea Sun Immediate Sun Protection Collagen Product

It's for the face and It is SPF50.

Compared. Smaller Tube. I like that it fits in my mini make up purse.

Could hardly spot the difference in both appearance and texture. I had to sniff it out to figure if they smelled different from one another. I realized that the Nivea one had a slightly man aftershave scent - which is nice too.

Like all other sunblocks it would make my skin a tad bit shinier. I like how it's creamy consistency allows me to blend it easily on my face. I didn't get any bad skin reactions so I guess I can really use this.

Nivea Sun Immediate Sun Protection Collagen Product

Basically for almost everywhere. It has SPF50, still water resistant. I have been this product even before I received this one. Wow! Collagen! For wrinkle protection...cool!

Light consistency.

Blends out easily. Leaves me shiny and still has that manly scent. As for the sticky factor, both the face and body product leave me feeling sticky but not sticky-sticky...just a little but It's still there.

Nivea Sun Moisturising After Sun Spray

This is a product that I have only tried recently. I get burned easily under the sun so I tried this out and was just simply ok with it since I had no idea what to expect. It suppose to cool, soothe skin and is quickly absorbed. It didn't have any immediate cooling sensation like the one you get when you use products with menthol and mint. It does soothe my skin just like other lotions do and it is fairly absorbed.

I love that it comes in a spray and the consistency is light. Gave me an idea to add water to my other lotions and but it in a spray dispenser haha.

When blended. It looks nice and doesn't look shiny bad.

The shine factor is a really huge thing for me since I don't really go to beaches as much. I use products like these on a daily basis when I go to work or run errands. I prefer non sticky formulas and products with scents that are not overpowering. Nivea meets my criteria of sunblocks that I would definitely use and recommend others to use too. I ven got my whole family to try it out. My dad seems to put too much on leaving him with whitish fluids on some areas. I must teach dad to blend his sunblock more.

A Makeup Look I Learned From My Mom

Happy Mother's Day Everyone!

I'm pretty sure that somewhere along the way our mothers influenced us greatly in so many ways. I bet we all think our own mothers are the best in the world. My mom and I have this special relationship. She's not the hugging and kissing type of mom. I rarely hear her say that she loves me, but her actions show that she loves me dearly. My mom has helped me make great decisions in life and has been very supportive. This post is dedicated to her.

My mom does this simple look and this is what I usually see her do. I'd do her makeup for her but she's a stubborn woman. She always wants to do her own eye makeup.

This is a small Aido Palette. It actually has useful shades perfect for normal and office looks. Now with a brown color, using a cosmetic sponge...

Apply a generous amount of brown powder on you main lid

Bring the brown color up by smudging it upwards creating a simple gradient effect. Yes, just one color.

With a Pencil, could be in brown or dark brown.

Line your eyes. Every part of your waterline. Tight-line it.

That's basically it. Not much really. It's the most simple thing my mom does and I still think shes' one of the prettiest persons on the planet! "I love you, Mom"

Added little blush and Nyx Lippie in Thalia.

It's just a simple look that draws more attention to the eyes. It perfect for a normal day out or even can work as an office look. Sorry for the crappy lighting, It's raining hard on mother's day her. A blessing considering the past week was a struggle from heat and too much sun.

It's so hot here in the Philippines, I'm barely in the mood to wear make up when I go out - not to mention I have had a terrible breakout recently. I thought switching to a tint would be nice for a while. I just didn't know what to get so I got this Gel thing. Cheek Tints are a really nice alternative for powder blushes and they even work as bases for such.

Blended...And it's not really my camera that has a problem..it's this gel...It won't stick on my face when I have foundation on...It barely sticks on my arm too - which actually doesn't have foundation. What a disappointment. I'm disappointed because I've pumped out a lot and still haven't the results I wanted. I probably will end up using thing a lot sooner than expected...just because I need a lot of product to get the color to show off naturally on my cheeks. Does it last 8 hours? I can barely see it on me...hence, I really can't tell.

but at least it rubbed on my fingers. Maybe I could use it to make my toes pink hehehe.

Ok tints are suppose to be light...but I'm still disappointed, "really? this light?"

To be fair, My cousin who suggested it, says she uses hers as a lip tint instead of a cheek tint. That works for her. Sadly, although I think it does give of a slight hint of color, which is suppose to make you look naturally blushing, I think it's too much though. I'll end up emptying this tube in no time. I guess this product wasn't meant for me. I hope that it works out for you guys though - because everyone is different.

Any tint or gel suggestions? I'm really curious about the Sophie Magic Tint. I wish I could get my hands on that product but I don't know any Sophie Paris dealers here in the Philippines...hmmmm

Hello Lovely Cupcakes! I've ran out of make-up to review thats why I'll do a tag instead! Kidding! I've been meaning to do this tag for a while and only gathered a couple of pictures just to not bore you with too much text and with my real life. I was tagged by the ever nice Hollie, Thank you Hollie! I like reading tags. It gives me a personal note on the people I follow online.

I have to clarify that I love so many things so these are just a couple of things I could think about at the moment. I love these things aside from work, friends, pets, love ones and God...because...of course without a doubt they would be on top of my list.

Number 1. Make Up, Cosmetics

Let me start with this because, this is after all, mostly a beauty blog. I love make up. I really would like to try out a lot of products. I don't really care if people can me superficial for putting on and liking make up. If it makes me happy then I don't really care. I don't have a traincase yet. I put stuff in boxes, old boxes of watches etc. hehe. I would invest in good stuff but really I'm still exploring the world of beauty.

Number 2. Lotion

I'm a lotion addict. Wish I could show you all but yeah, My friends know what to get me. I share my stuff with the other girls in the family but basically I buy all lotions because everyone here refuses to buy since they know they can always ask some from me. hehe. I can use these all up believe me. My favorites? For whitening, I's say Nature's Garden. For the scent, As much as I love the BBW Warm Vanilla Sugar Mist, I find the cream to be too musky and heavy for this current hot summer weather therefore I love Bath and Body Works's Sweet Pea. It's a scent that grew on me.

Number 3. Contact Lenses

I need lenses and glasses. I'm blind without them. I love that these were created. It makes my life so much easier. I sometimes think that I have too many lenses, having only 1 pair of eyes, but I just like the idea that I get to soak my lenses longer and I get to choose a style or color depending on my mood. I have a habit of buying online in bulk. Saves me more.

Number 4. Wig Collection

I used to cosplay and I really love Halloween. I collect wigs. Most here are gifts from friends. I find them useful to the people around me, when they have school plays or presentations - they just borrow from me than buy...after all nice wigs are really expensive. I don't have the normal looking ones though. I'm kinda scared of the idea of going out knowing I have a wig on for a normal day.

Number 5. Arts and Crafts Tool and Materials

I love design and colors. I've been drawing and doing random stuff since I was young. I have a lot of tools for my random creative moods. I also do items for our online clay shop so I guess I really love my art materials. They are so useful.

Number 6. Umbrella

This is totally random but I probably could not go out without any umbrella. I love polka dots too. I love this for protection - from the Sun, Rain and even Evil doers. It protects me from so many things. Don't be surprised if you see me walking around with my umbrella out of my bag even without the sun and rain.

Number 7. My Home Workspace

I would die if I didn't have my own desk and place to do my thing. I love my workspace. It's not the biggest but It's my own little sanctuary at home. I stay here more than in our living room. Don't you just love having your own place to work at home...especially if you are like me who takes work home.

Number 8. Tech Stuff

Yes, All mine. The reason I'm always broke. Not trying to show off because these aren't really much compared to others but Investing in things that will help you boost your career has always been something I kept in mind. I work a lot of jobs, whatever I can get my hands on part-time (teaching, graphic, video & web jobs, etc) If there is an opportunity, I grab it. If I need it, and use it, then it won't go to waste. The only down thing is tech stuff depreciates over time. I'm loving my Sony Nex-5 camera, It's size compared to my Canon EOS is way far! It even can shoot 3d panoramas...amazing.

Number 9. Online Games

I particularly love Massive Multiplayer Role Playing Games. The ones where you get to choose character classes such as mages, warriors and more. I once dreamed of being a game designer. I hope I'd get to create a cool game one day. I have a project on the way but I haven't really had time to focus on it. I can go crazy addicted to online games. I love Ragnarok, Utopia, Godswar and many more!

Number 10. Soft Tissue on my Table

I think I'm pretty OC about this. If somebody moves my tissue I go crazy. I just find some comfort in having tissue near me. Doesn't matter what brand. I just need my Tissue near me. I love having tissue all the time.

Most of the good things in life are the ones you get for free. I don't know, I just really like the feeling of how someone remembered to make me feel special. I like winning free stuff. It's like junk food, junk food from other people tastes nicer to me than me eating a whole pack all by myself. Sharing feels so nice. Giving and Receiving is so COOL.

And with that, Recently I got a package from Nivea- something that I wasn't expecting. Expect reviews. I have these products already but sunblock stuff are good especially now that the sun and heat is crazy too.

Awww. I got sponsored. Awww...even has my name on it. I have mixed emotions about thing like this. But ofcourse this doesn't change anything. My blog has a solid purpose and I will not stray away from that - to provide honest reviews to help others ( and ramble a bit hehe) I trust that my readers are intelligent enough to know an inserted advertisement from an honest take on most. Geo Circle Lenses make eyes a tad big dolly by making them appear bigger. Common natural sizes really are about 13.70mm but with Circle lenses you can actually go from 14.00mm to 17.00mm, Crazy huh? I for one love colored lenses. If you are going to wear graded lenses why not wear them with style? Besides...clear contact lenses cost more here in the Philippines. Ordering online for most is more practical but you have to beware of fakes. So for me, once I've found a trusted seller- I stick like gum!

Really a nice brown shade on my dark eyes. I like how weird the design is but still manages to look subtle in real life and in indoor and outdoor lighting. If your looking for a brown shade that won't shock as much (but will still shock in a way) - these are great.

Room Lighting. Very Pretty. I think the brown toned down by one shade on my eyes. These lenses are comfortable. Just like my Dolly Black ones. I can wear them for 8 hours straight without a problem. I use Renu Solution to cleanse and soak.

I made a haul post here. I received these lenses but haven't really had the time to try them out because I have a lot of other lenses in use. I happen to be very lucky to have been contacted by KISH due to a past misunderstanding and my deep expression of dissatisfaction regarding their services. These lenses was Ms. Pat's idea of making it up to me. I couldn't be happier that their service has went way beyond after-sales.

Shawill Lipgloss and A Green Inspired FOTD

Love her pink lip color?It's a Shawill Lipgloss. Remember my haul here? I have been addicted to lipgloss lately and I took a chance on this Shawill Crystal Lipgloss. It was really affordable. Packaging said it was water nourishing. I wish I could remember the shade number and I wish more so that they used names instead of numbers.

It's a light bubble gum pink.

Creamy, slightly sticky and has a slight lemon-ish scent to it. It did last until the end of the shoot. Is it good? Well my model of the day loved it paired with Ever Bilena's Matte "Off beat Pink". She said she'd get one for herself. Since mine was fairly new I gave mine to her...sister love!

Personal Eye brow Grooming and Shaping Habits

I'm just sharing what I do so you can have an idea of what you can do too. hehe. A simple post intended for newbies ( like me! ). Brows are important because it frames your eyes so I guess knowing what to do with your eyebrows important in a way.

For Grooming I usually use a mini shaving blade, tweezers, scissors ( usually the small one but mine's missing at the moment so I used this giant one - I can make this work but I would not advice anyone to use it! ).

For shaping but not really necessary I use brushes, concealers and eyebrow/eyeshadow powder. Use whatever product works for you.

This is what I have to work with. If you don't know the shape your going for, try drawing a guide first. Every eyebrow is different. Find out what works for you.

I pluck out the excess out of line hairs. As a tip, I add lash glue on the tweezers end. It helps me pluck better.

I blade out/shave off any excess hair around my eyebrow area.

I brush my hairs down and cut of the long and out of line ones. I find that this helps he maintain tamed brows. If I leave the long hairs on my brows look weird when they get wet or sweaty or something...

snip! snip! I'm good with scissors...but please use the right sized ones though.

moving on to make-up

Using a dark matte brown shadow.

I make a light outline and just blend it away. Brown seems less harsh.

With a black matte eyeshadow I fill in some parts and just blend away with a brush.

Add concealer on the edges to add some pop and make your brows ever more so defined.

blend away and you are done!

If you want to skip all the makeup stuff you can also bleach or tint your brows too. But I recommend you get a pro to do it rather than suffer from any bad effect from any mistake that may occur. hehe. But personally, when I try to match my brows with dyed hair I use this.

On my brows, I go light or darken depending on what look I'm going for. Darker and more defined brows usually work well for me for night events. On a daily basis I like my brows a little light and more an a natural black or grey side. This is just how I do mine. I hope it helps someone out there. A professional maybe a good choice if you haven't figured out what eyebrow shape works for you.

Oh...and sometimes if you purchase an Eyebrow blade...you can ask the SA to do your Eyebrows for you!(As a demonstration of how to use it) It's free! hehehe.

Golden Ration Line is all about proportions. This Face Glam product apparently is a 2 in 1 highlighting base and brightening eye makeup that accentuates facial features to beautify according to ideal proportions.

If only I understood Korean. The pictures are explaining that the upper portion is used as an eye brightener and the lower part is used as a base/ highlighter.

Basically the Top Cream is the Eye Brightener. Directions says that you need to apply this to your upper and lower eyelids and spread. Cute that it has a mirror.

Wonderful as an eyeshadow and eyeshadow base. I use it both over and under a simple brown eye shadow and I'm all set. Pretty!

The lower part with the spatula is used as a base and a highlighter. Says it is suppose to be applied to T-Zone area and spread across face surface. I love how it is so pearly and leaves me with a nice glow. I can use it under and over makeup but I prefer over.

Looks pearly and very pretty in reality not like the shimmery products that leave you with glitters. My camera couldn't give it justice though.

Use as a base and highlighter. Staying power is decent. I love that it blends in nicely, stays on me, looks fab but manages to seem natural and doesn't have any weird scent. I may not achieve a perfect face proportion with this alone but I'm so loving this product.

Used with Makeup.

I know that there are cheaper alternatives but this has been on my wishlist since...forever! The lack of reviews made me hesitant t purchase this but I bought one for myself anyway. I've been looking for a nice highlighter and I'm personally pretty happy with this one. I've been using it on others too and they love it too. In fact, my aunt says she will be buying one for herself too hehe. They have this is a pinker shade for those who have cooler tones. I hope you will like it as much as I do. I think it's a nice product for summer.

Hauls, Cheap Thrills and Back from Dead

Hello there! Look who's back from the dead?! Sorry for being absent and lacking on posts. My life has been so stressful lately that I haven't been a good girl. I said I'd stop buying stuff but cheap thrills and shopping have been a good source of positive energy for me...not for my pocket though! haha

It's the first time ever that I've had an terrible stress related breakout. I haven't been able to sleep as much and it's finally showing on my forehead. I would show you guys a picture but probably on a next post just to check if my acne fighting squad is really as effective as I think. I think I'm healing fast though.

I use these in the following order as labelled so. Pretty much drugstore products. The sight of excess oil convinces me that my skin is producing more oil because it isn't moisturized enough. Although St. Ives Apricot scrub isn't the mildest on the planet, I still personally love it. I got the one which was good for acne. I follow it up with Likas, just to help lighten the scars. I use the Acnesol Toner and then oil-free mositurizer. I blot at times and when I go out I use the Celeteque moisturizer with Spf. So far so good.

I don't know if you all are familiar with Shawill and Oseur. I've used some of both brands back in college and though of giving them another try. I blamed Oseur for the change in my lip color but I can only experiment to really find out.

I've been obsessing on finding the perfect orange and hot pink color. I don't know why I can't stop looking for a perfect shade similar to my Dollface Lip Pallete pink favorite. I've swatched some from Nichido, Etude and Wet and Wild...They have promising lippies! I'll probably get them next time.

This is all Sugar's fault! Kidding! I love you Sugar! I'm falling in love with gloss eversince she gave me the Etude Lip Gloss.

Careline stuff! I was pretty content with their blush so I decided to give some other items a try! When I went over to swatch I said to myself -"Geez! why are they so pigmented!" I was referring mostly to the gloss. I remembered a post by the ever gorg Donna, I wanted to try some of those out but couldn't find them at SM Careline Booths. Sad.

My pigments substitute! works well.

Can you guess which is which? I found a lippie from aido which was 25 pesos! I was having a personaly twitter moment...only, I was the only follower following myself and my thoughts! "Are you kidding me 25 pesos?- what do they put in this stuff?!" Oh well..Reviews soon.

Onto my Favorite Purchase

Waaahhh! promised myself to get this if and only if I lose weight. Stress made me lose 8 pounds right away effortlessly haha. I love this! I love this! I love this! It's soooo pretty.

The Golden Ration line makes me want to save up and spend like crazy!

I bought some other essentials to help me be hair free and even-toned. The Nyx lippie was just given to me.

Kojic is great for lightening. Just leave it on without scrubbing for like 3mins or so and wash it off. Not sure about this brand though. I got it at Watsons. I'm gonna give it a try. It was 99pesos for 3 bars.

In Eggplant. But very expired. Wahhh why do I always get expired make-up huhuhuhu. I probably look that desperate and make-up obsessed?lol

After having an unsatisfying experience at KishUnlimited, I was contacted months after by the owner. Ms. Pat offered me a pair. She is also unhappy about having unhappy customers. I super appreciated her effort to make it up to me. Apparently the paper bag wasn't the bag I should have received back then. I'm really thankful and I feel cared for and important. Although I said I probably wouldn't purchase again from Kish, I take it back. After this I've gladly referred my friends to buy GEO lenses there. I'm late to post about this but better late than never.

I'll post a review about these Angel Brown Lenses! I'm hoping they'll make me look like an angel! hahaha I've been bad eh! :P Thank you again Ms. Pat.

Nails of someone who can't make up her mind.

I was so stressed and lonely I forced my dad to buy me a friend! haha. Got him at Cuddles. Mr. Panda is huge! Look at the difference between him and my ordinary toy. I must be growing old backwards. Everyone at home was laughing "Why on earth would you want a huge bear?" If you've read my wishlist last christmas...and many christmas's ago. I've always wanted one. It's like one of my must haves on my bucketlist :P

Peace sign! I still have a minor breakout on my forehead but makeup is really magic! If you zoom you'll still see the bumps but why would you zoom on poor me? hehehe! Kidding!
